Setting up your organisation

When you sign up for Kahala TMS, we create your company account and your first login with full Admin access. Before you start entering orders, it’s worth spending a few minutes in Org Settings getting the basics right.

Country, currency and units

Your country selection (Australia, New Zealand, United States or Canada) drives your default currency, tax rate, and whether the app shows metric or imperial units and labels — for example, Postcode vs ZIP, or Connote vs Bill of Lading for US brokers. You can change these later in Org Settings, but getting them right at signup means every order, invoice and PDF is labelled correctly from day one.

Your first team members

Every company starts with four ready-made roles: Admin (full access), Operations (day-to-day dispatch and fleet, read-only on billing), Billing (invoicing and rate configuration, read-only on operations) and Viewer (read-only everywhere). Invite teammates from Users Management — they’ll get an email with a link to set their own password, so you never need to share a login.
