Fuel levy is applied as a percentage on top of the freight charge on every order, reflecting the extra cost of fuel over your base rate.

Setting the rate

Set a fuel levy percentage at the company level as your default, per rate agreement if a specific customer has a negotiated rate, or scheduled to change on a future date if you know a rate change is coming.

How it shows on an invoice

Fuel levy always appears as its own line, calculated off the freight charge rather than bundled into it — so a customer can see it move independently when your rate changes without the base freight rate itself changing.
