Customers & Pricing

Setting up your customers

Every customer record in Kahala TMS drives how that customer’s orders are addressed, priced and invoiced, so it’s worth setting one up properly before you start booking their freight.

Contact and billing details

Beyond a name and address, a customer record carries payment terms, a tax or business registration number, and one or more invoice email addresses. Assign an account manager so everyone on your team knows who owns the relationship.

How this customer gets invoiced

Choose whether this customer’s orders are invoiced individually or consolidated onto one invoice per billing cycle, and whether an order counts as ready to invoice the moment it’s collected or once it’s delivered. If they expect a purchase order number on every invoice, Kahala TMS looks one up automatically from their purchase orders rather than asking your team to chase it down.
